Anyone can claim to be a “Nutritionist”, “Health Coach”, “Holistic Healer”, etc. A Registered Dietitian (RD) also referred to as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is a healthcare professional that has graduated with a Bachelors Degree in ACEND certified course. They are also required to complete a 1500 hour intensive internship and pass a Registered Dietitian certification exam.

A RDN is the only healthcare professional that is certified to practice Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). MNT is a fancy word means treating medical conditions and symptoms with nutrition.

Registered Dietitians provide personalized nutrition advice that takes a person’s lifestyle, culture, and goals into account. We use evidenced-based nutrition research to help people manage their medical conditions.
